This year’s survey by Thomson Reuters, a global content and technology company, shows that 77% of the more than 2,200 professionals interviewed, such as lawyers and accountants, believe that artificial intelligence (AI) will have a high impact on work in the next five years, an increase of 10% compared to 2023. The survey predicts that artificial intelligence should save professionals 12 hours a week by 2029, which is equivalent to one additional colleague for every ten team members. “AI at work can bring innovations, improve work-life balance and provide economic benefits, increasing productivity, generating value and opening up space for greater job satisfaction”, points out Thomson Reuters country leader, Andréa Ziravello.
Another study, by the business strategy company Boston Consulting Group (BCG), carried out with 13 thousand executive leaders and frontline employees from 15 countries, showed that Brazil is the second most trusting in the use of AI at work (52 %), behind only India (54%). The overall average across countries rose from 26% to 42% between 2023 and 2024, which is due to the growth in the use of AI at work. Among the sectors that they have received the most transformations from technology are health, education, administration and marketing.
